Admission to School
Detailed notes with regard to Admissions Policy is available from the Local Authority – Children and Young Peoples Services (CYPS). Briefly the following explains the procedures:
A school or nursery may have concerns that a child is on the autistic spectrum and a request may be made that an Educational Psychologist has input with assessing the youngster. Once assessments have been made and CYPS feel that Landgate may be recommended school the CYPS will check if there is a place available for a youngster at a particular age. If there is a place visits to the school may be set up for parents / carers. Other schools may also be recommended and parents / carers may visit other schools before indicating their preference.
