Communication

Learners can be referred to Communication for a range of reasons. Our Communication Team, including our Speech and Language Therapist make recommendations to support staff to support effective communication across the curriculum. Health and Wellbeing

Learners can be referred for Health and Wellbeing for a range of reasons such as resilience, play skills and healthy physical growth. Learning Support may recommend the learner accesses interventions to support their emotional and physical wellbeing. These interventions can be delivered either on a 1:1 basis or a group. Our Occupational Therapist also makes recommendations for supporting sensory needs and helping learners ‘get ready to learn’.

Teaching and Learning

Learners can be referred for teaching and learning if they are off target, exceeding target or if there is a barrier to their learning the class teacher feels is preventing them from reaching their full potential. Learning Support can observe in class, make recommendations alongside subject leads and offer targeted support packages.

Y7 Catch Up

Y7 Catch Up The Maths and English catch-up premium is additional funding to support year 7 learners who did not meet the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of Key Stage 2.
