5B Waddow Hall DoE Residential

Between 22nd and 26th May 5A and 5B took part in a residential trip to Waddow Hall in Clitheroe in order to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. The week was split into half with 5B attending the first half and 5A attending the second half. Charity Netball Event

On Monday 6th May Landgate School took part in charity Netball tournament to raise money for the Duke of Edinburgh Diamond challenge and the stillborn awareness charity. Staff from the school had only 6 weeks training before the event who were expertly coached by Andrea Foulkes. Holi Moli!

Landgate has been celebrating the Hindu festival of Holi this week and having a very colourful week. We have planted lots of new plants in the poly tunnel to mark the beginning of Spring. We have also done lots of different activities in classes to explore the culture of India and Hinduism such as making instruments, rangoli art, curry food tasting and much more. Salvation Army Visit

Key Stage 3 have been learning about The Salvation Army this term in RE and have held their own Christmas present appeal. Today they got to visit the local Salvation Army church in Ashton-in-Makerfield and deliver the presents to Claire Marriot-Lodge, the minister there.
