Landgate School and College is proud to announce that we have have been granted accredited status by the National Autistic Society, Accredited status is awarded to provisions where staff have a good working knowledge of methods and approaches which produce positive outcomes for autistic people. Support overall effective and personal centred, overall reaching the standard expected by Autism Accreditation. The quality of practice is reflected in the majority of feedback from autistic people and/or their families.

The committee were particularly impressed with the following areas of strength:

• Landgate School has a dedicated, caring and well trained staff.
• A child centred approach is used to good effect throughout the school with strong emphasis on allowing the pupils to be themselves.
• The enthusiasm and passion of the staff is a noticeable strength of the school and the relationship between the staff and the pupils is based on trust and respect.
• The sensory needs of learners are well met.
