The theme for this year’s British Science Week was ‘Connections’ and Landgate took part in the event through the theme of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

Throughout the week, learners took part in challenges, investigations and problem-solving tasks and were given a mission to create a new secret product. Learners enjoyed taking part in a Geodesic Dome challenge where they worked together as a team to problem solve. Learners also had the opportunity to use the Vanda Graph machine to experience the amazing                 electrostatic science and took part in a magnet challenge where they had to draw a maze on the table top, cut out an image of Charlie, stick a magnet to the back of it, then use a magnet from underneath the table to guide Charlie safely home. ​

It was a very busy week and everyone did amazingly well.  Congratulations to 2C for creating the overall winning product ‘Gummy Bear Edible Slime’.
