KIDS EAT FREE - ANNOUNCEMENT
As all of our customers may recall, in the Summer Holidays we were in the unfortunate position of having to pause our four-year long ‘kids eat free’ during holidays scheme due to the shaky financial position we (along with most small businesses) were in after the three month long enforced closure of lockdown.
While we are by no means ‘out of the woods’ yet, we are so infuriated and disgusted by recent political events (underfunding for Tier 3 restrictions in our North West, the 322 Tory MPs who voted against extending the Free School Meals for children during holidays) which will have left so many families struggling to cope financially, we feel moved to do our part to help those most in need during these trying times.
Getting fresh, healthy, high quality food is more crucial than ever during this pandemic. So we will be bringing back ‘Kids Eat Free’ for ALL school aged kids this half term period.
For those with kids to feed who are really struggling in the current circumstances, beyond what our ‘kids eat free’ scheme will help, please message our FB page privately and we will do what we can to help you out during this and every forthcoming school holiday period. We often have a stock of freshly-frozen meal prep and we’d be happy to donate some meals free to families in need. If you know someone in these circumstances who may feel too low or uncertain to contact us directly, then please do so on their behalf.
No-one should go hungry in this day and age, and if all businesses and communities rally together through this difficult time, we can all make sure we weather the worst of the Winter together, regardless of what our government is willing to provide. ... See more
