The value of employer engagement has a huge impact on our young people. Encounters with the employers inspire and help to inform learners on their next steps. 

We have a growing number of employers who work with our learners and help them to prepare for life after Landgate.

Through careers sessions, interviews sessions, work place visits and school based curriculum events such as STEM days, learners have a multitude of opportunities to engage with employers.

We draw on the expertise of employers from a wide range of sectors: private, public and voluntary.

The experiences help our learners understand the expectations of a work place, develop time management skills, develop transferability skills and most importantly help them to understand what elements of roles they enjoy and their strengths. Learners are able to develop self- confidence and resilience. 

Through employer encounters our learners develop an understanding of different pathways they may wish to take; apprenticeships, internships or volunteering.
