OUTREACH
Landgate School is part of a coordinated team of specialist staff from Hope, Rowan Tree, Oakfield and Willow Grove.
Landgate School’s Outreach Team specialises in the support of primary and secondary aged learners with all aspects of their autism.
We offer training, help and advice to mainstream schools – usually in the short-term. Our aim is to support teaching and learning, attainment, social inclusion and daily living skills for complex learners in mainstream settings.
The service is available to all mainstream schools and settings that have pupils with complex needs, as described in the Outreach Protocol (see Wigan Council website, link below)
Referral
A school or setting can make a referral by completing a request for Outreach support. This should be agreed and signed by parents and submitted to the schools’ Outreach Service at Hope School. Receipt of the request will be acknowledged, and a member of the Outreach Service will contact the named person for more information.
